Test Head & Copper Line Test

In a correctly designed and installed site the remote user can now operate a switch from anywhere in the world. The line circuit is switched to the Test Bus and made available to whatever Test Head equipment has been connected to the end of the Bus. The remote user can then access the Test equipment and perform a line test on the copper circuit. Once the fault has been identified a suitable engineer can be dispatched accurately to the correct place to repair the fault.

The operation of the Test Access Matrix and Copper Line Test Head may be incorporated into the Communication Providers management system. It is possible to control the equipment using a defined TL1 protocol or an XML interface.
